Job summary

Community College Northern Inland (CCNI) is seeking a casual High Risk Trainer and Assessor to deliver practical, face-to-face training from Gunnedah, Narrabri or Moree campuses.

You will conduct onsite training across White Card, Working Safely at Heights and Confined Spaces, with flexibility to cover one or more areas depending on experience. A current TAE certification and construction safety qualifications are required, along with a valid driver licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or newer).
• CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.
• RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights.
• RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces.
• CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry.
• Current vocational competency in the areas you wish to deliver.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical, face-to-face training from Gunnedah, Narrabri or Moree campuses.
• Deliver training in White Card, Working Safely at Heights and Confined Spaces as required.
• Be available to deliver training locally at CCNI campuses.
• Support adult learners with practical, industry-relevant instruction.

About the role

This role would suit an experienced trainer, tradesperson, supervisor, safety professional or industry worker who holds the required training and assessment qualifications and enjoys supporting adult learners.

As a casual trainer with Community College Northern Inland, you will deliver practical, industry-relevant training to local students and workers, while being supported by our training and administration teams.

Selection criteria

To be considered, you will need:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40110 or newer;
• CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry;
• RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights;
• RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces;
• CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry;
• Current vocational competency in the areas you wish to deliver.

You will also need:

• experience in construction, industrial safety, civil, mining, agriculture, trades, high risk work or a related industry area;
• confidence delivering practical training to adult learners;
• a current driver licence;
• access to a comprehensively insured vehicle;
• a current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one;
• a current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one.
