Job summary

Haverick Meats in Botany, NSW, is seeking a skilled High Reach Forklift Driver to join our warehouse and distribution team. As an LF Forklift Driver, you will safely move products throughout the warehouse to support on-time deliveries and accurate inventory.

Haverick Meats is seeking a skilled and reliable High Reach Forklift Driver to join our warehouse and distribution team in Botany, NSW. This position contributes to the smooth operation of our storage and distribution facilities. As a LF Forklift Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, safely and efficiently moving products throughout our warehouse environment. Your expertise in operating high reach forklifts will directly impact our ability to meet delivery schedules and maintain excellent inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Operate LF forklift safely and efficiently to move, stack and retrieve double deep products in warehouse environments
• Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues or defects immediately
• Conduct post-shift inspections of forklift equipment putting chargers in place
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and warehouse operating procedures
• Load and unload delivery vehicles with accuracy, ensuring products are secured and organised correctly
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and warehouse transactions
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and logistics team members to ensure efficient daily operations
• Optimise warehouse space by stacking products effectively and safely at appropriate heights
• Respond promptly to urgent requests and prioritise tasks to meet operational deadlines

What we're looking for

• Current and valid LF Forklift Licence
• Proven experience operating LF forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements, including load capacity limits and safe working practices
• Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail when manoeuvring equipment in tight spaces
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
• Physical fitness to perform repetitive lifting and movement throughout shifts
• Reliable and punctual work ethic with a commitment to quality and safety
• Experience in the meat processing or food distribution industry is advantageous
• Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings and potential weekend shifts as required
