Job summary

NSW Public Works is seeking a Heritage Officer to join the Heritage Environment and Planning (HEP) team. You will deliver high-quality built heritage projects, manage CMPs and related documents, and coordinate input from staff and consultants for government clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in built heritage conservation and heritage planning and policy in NSW.
• Knowledge and experience in preparing heritage management documents, specialist heritage reporting, and related business duties.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently, meet deadlines and seek advice from other team members when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage key deliverables in the production of heritage management plans (CMPs, SOHIs, HAMS).
• Undertake site inspections and coordinate input from staff or consultants.
• Advise clients with approvals for works to heritage items and support capital projects in the heritage space.
