Job summary

Aviation Careers Australia in Nowra, NSW, is recruiting apprentice aircraft trades as part of the Royal Australian Navy's plan to welcome 13 MH-60 Romeo helicopters, with January 2027 start across Mechanical, Surface Finisher and Avionics streams.

Apprentices will gain hands-on repair, maintenance and servicing experience, while undergoing theory-based training and completing apprenticeship unit standards at Sikorsky and partner facilities.

Qualifications

• Interest in helicopters and aviation.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Able to obtain Australian Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on repair, maintenance and servicing of Romeo Seahawk aircraft.
• Undergo training across your trade, moving between Sikorsky and partner facilities.
• Attend theory-based training to complete apprenticeship unit standards.
