Job summary

Orion Aerospace is actively recruiting a LAME (B1.3/B1.4) in Alexandra, Victoria, Australia, to perform and certify aircraft maintenance while adhering to CASA regulations and company procedures.

The role offers two pathways: a full-time salary package of AU$150,000–$160,000 or a contractor rate of AU$90+ per hour on a 7/7 roster (DIDO). Strong aviation maintenance experience and licensing are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold CASA B1.3 or B1.4 license and have maintenance experience.
• Full work rights in Australia are mandatory.
• Type rating on Airbus, Bell, or Sikorsky platforms is preferred.
• Robinson (R22/R44) experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
• Carry out maintenance, servicing, repairs, and component replacements per approved data and best practices.
• Accurately complete maintenance records, defect reports, and compliance paperwork for traceability.
• Liaise with pilots, engineers, maintenance teams, and regulators to coordinate activities and safety requirements.

About the role:

As a LAME, you will be responsible for carrying out and certifying maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements, manufacturer instructions, and company procedures.

• Option 1: Salary Package $150,000 – $160,000 – Full time – Standard 38 hour week with Overtime Available
• Option 2: Contractor $90+ hourly rate – 7/7 roster – DIDO

• Perform both scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft structures, systems, and components to ensure ongoing airworthiness and compliance with CASA and company requirements.
• Carry out maintenance, servicing, repairs, and component replacements in accordance with approved maintenance data and industry best practices.
• Accurately complete maintenance records, inspection documentation, defect reports, and compliance paperwork to maintain regulatory standards and traceability.
• Liaise effectively with pilots, engineers, maintenance teams, and regulatory bodies to coordinate maintenance activities and address operational and safety requirements.
