Job summary

TRS Resourcing is seeking a Qualified Diesel Mechanic for a busy Bayswater workshop, Melbourne area. You will service and repair heavy diesel trucks in a hands-on setting, performing diagnostics and breakdown tasks as part of a small team.

The role operates on a rotating roster with start times based on workload; every second Saturday is required, with a weekday off in return. A company vehicle is provided for breakdowns and on-site training is available.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic (Cert III or IV - Heavy Vehicle)
• Experience working on heavy trucks or similar plant
• Confident fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Current driver's licence
• HR and/or forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
• Reliable, hands-on attitude and able to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing heavy diesel trucks
• Preventative maintenance to keep the fleet roadworthy
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs
• Attending breakdowns when required (company vehicle provided)
• Completing job cards and service records
• Working safely in a clean, organised workshop

Heavy Vehicles Diesel Mechanic

The Role

TRS Resourcing is looking for a Qualified Diesel Mechanic to join a busy workshop in Bayswater, working on a fleet of heavy vehicles used in waste and recycling operations.

This is a hands-on workshop role with a stable, long-term employer. You'll be carrying out servicing, repairs, fault finding, and breakdown work on heavy trucks in a well-equipped workshop.

The role operates on a rotating roster, with start times varying according to workload. With a requirement to work every second Saturday, with a weekday off in return.

Daily Responsibilities

1. Servicing and repairing heavy diesel trucks
2. Preventative maintenance to keep the fleet roadworthy
3. Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs
4. Attending breakdowns when required (company vehicle provided)
5. Completing job cards and service records
6. Working safely in a clean, organised workshop

What We're Looking For
