Heavy Vehicle Technician

Your new opportunity: As a Diesel Technician at our Yatala branch, you'll keep our customers' trucks moving by carrying out service, diagnostics, and repairs across a wide range of makes and models. From European to American trucks, no two days are the same - giving you the chance to broaden your expertise and build your career with variety.

We also welcome Light Vehicle Mechanics looking to step up into heavy vehicles. With strong training and support, you can gain a second trade while working in a safe and secure environment.

In this role you will:
  • Carry out maintenance, service, and repair work across multiple truck brands and systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults using the latest tools and technology.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with a supportive team.
  • Ensure all work meets high safety and quality standards.
  • Continue learning through technical training and exposure to different truck platforms.

About you:

  • Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics (or Light Vehicle with a desire to upskill).
  • Strong technical background in servicing, maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience with a variety of truck makes and models such as Volvo, Mack, Scania, Kenworth, Isuzu, Fuso, Hino, or similar.
  • Ability to adapt to different systems and work efficiently across diverse vehicles.
  • Great teamwork, communication skills, and alignment with Penske values of Ownership, Passion, Teamwork, Integrity and Care.
