Job summary

Borg Manufacturing on the Central Coast, NSW, is seeking an experienced Driver Trainer to deliver and assess training for our heavy vehicle fleet. You will run on-site programs for new and existing staff, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety rules.

MC licence holders with proven training qualifications and WHS knowledge are encouraged to apply; pre-employment medical checks including audiometric, drug and alcohol testing may apply.

Job Details

We have an opportunity for an experienced Driver Trainer to join our team where you will be responsible for delivering training and assessing competency to our new and existing employees across our range of heavy vehicles.

Our national fleet consists of over 300 trucks ranging from HR to MC vehicles. Our transport division undertakes both local and interstate transport activities transporting our own products throughout the country. Our vehicles are serviced and maintained in our in-house workshops.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Delivering and developing internal training programs
• Conducting on-site training with new and existing employees
• Ensuring employees are trained to operate in line with company standards
• Maintaining current industry knowledge and skills for the various vehicles our employees will be trained in.

To succeed in this role you will have:

• A current MC licence and extensive driving experience (Volvo experience would be an advantage)
• Formal qualifications in training and assessment
• A strong understanding of mass management and fatigue management rules
• A strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety legislation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.
