Job summary

Multiquip Poultry in Ingleburn, NSW, is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to maintain our fleet of heavy vehicles, trailers and equipment. You will work on-site in our busy workshop with day and afternoon shifts.

The role requires a trade qualification, 2+ years on heavy vehicles, strong fault-finding, NHVAS/WHS knowledge, and experience with diagnostic tools and computer-based maintenance systems. Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working on heavy vehicles.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Sound knowledge of NHVAS and WHS compliance requirements.
• Experience using diagnostic software and computer-based maintenance systems.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday with rotating Saturday shifts.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual tasks.
• An HC Driver's Licence (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy vehicles, trailers, and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and technical expertise.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with NHVAS and WHS standards.
• Provide field service support when required.
• Attend vehicle breakdowns and perform urgent repairs.
• Move trucks, trailers, and prime movers safely within the depot as required.
• Liaise effectively with the Workshop Manager and Branch Manager regarding repairs, maintenance, and operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
