Premium Mechanical Group is seeking a trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing Kenworth heavy road transport equipment. The role involves scheduled servicing, fault-finding, and component change-outs across diesel engines and related systems.

Strong diagnostic skills, ability to read manuals/schematics, and a commitment to safety are essential. A valid licence and team focus are required, with FIFO options available.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified heavy vehicle mechanic with experience on heavy road transport equipment.
• Kennworth C509 experience is highly regarded.
• Experience with preventative maintenance, breakdowns and component changes.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics for accurate repairs.
• Valid Driver's Licence and strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose faults across engines, driveline, transmission, brakes, steering and suspension.
• Perform breakdown repairs and fault-finding to minimise downtime.
• Carry out component repairs and change-outs as required.

This opportunity is suited to trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanics with strong hands-on experience maintaining and repairing Kenworth heavy road transport equipment, with Kenworth C509 experience highly regarded.

PREMIUM Role

• Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on heavy road transport equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify faults across diesel engines, driveline, transmission, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Perform breakdown repairs and fault-finding to minimise equipment downtime.
• Carry out component repairs and change-outs as required.
• Inspect vehicles to identify defects and emerging maintenance issues.
• Read and interpret technical information, service manuals and schematics to support accurate diagnosis and repairs.
• Complete maintenance documentation and service records accurately.
• Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and quality workmanship.

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent recognised heavy vehicle trade qualification.
• Previous hands-on experience with Kenworth C509.
• Strong heavy road transport maintenance, diagnostics and fault-finding experience.
• Experience completing preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and component change-outs.
• Valid Driver's Licence.
• Ability to work safely and effectively within a maintenance team.
• Strong commitment to quality workmanship and equipment reliability.
