Edwards Engineering Pty Ltd in Brookvale, NSW, is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator for full-time, on-site work in medium and heavy fabrication, including welding and assembly. You will study drawings, prepare stock, cut, shape, and weld using MIG, ensure weld quality, and verify dimensions with measuring tools while coordinating with a small team.

Immediate availability is preferred; salary range is AUD 75,000–95,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience.

Competenze

• At least one year of experience as a Metal Fabricator is required.
• MIG welding competency.
• Ability to read workshop drawings.
• Experience with medium and heavy fabrication.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Mansioni

• Study drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements.
• Prepare stock and plan work for efficient completion.
• Cut marked-out metal using hand tools, oxy-cutting torches, saws and guillotines.
• Shape and bend metal using hand and machine tools; set up punch and shear.
• Align parts and join using MIG welding, bolting or riveting.
• Inspect welds for bead width, penetration and quality.
• Finish welds and surfaces by grinding and chiselling.
