Marble in WA is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join its Perth-based workshop. Based in Maddington, you’ll perform major rebuilds and replacements on underground fleets, with a 10‑hour day, Monday to Friday, finished by 3:30pm. You’ll have access to paid lunch and weekend optional work for extra hours.

Ideal candidates possess underground experience with OEM‑standard rebuilds, own mining‑grade tools, and a trade qualification (or 3+ years in the industry). FIFO-free role, home every night.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or 3+ years of industry experience.
• Underground machinery experience is highly regarded.
• Own mining-grade hand tools (up to ¾ drive).
• High Risk Licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Full, midlife and partial component rebuilds to OEM standard.

Heavy Diesel Mechanic in Maddington. $60/hr, Mon-Fri, 10hr days fully paid. Underground rebuild work, no FIFO, home every night.

• Rates starting at $60ph, all 10 hours paid, including lunch
• Early 3:30pm finish, with optional weekend work available

An established underground mining equipment specialist is looking for Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join its Perth-based rebuild workshop. The team handles major component rebuilds and change-outs for underground fleets across WA.

Based in Maddington, you'll be home every night and doing solid, hands‑on rebuild work. You'll join a workshop of around 20 fitters and sparkies who take pride in getting the job done right.

The Opportunity

If you're over the time away from home, this is a chance to keep doing real heavy diesel work without the FIFO lifestyle.

• Rates starting from $60ph + Super
• 10-hour days, Monday to Friday (5:30am-3:30pm)
• Paid lunch break, so you're paid for the full 10 hours
• Optional weekend work if you want the extra hours

The Role

You'll work in small crews of 1-4 on major rebuild and change‑out projects for underground loaders, trucks, drill rigs and drivelines. Key responsibilities include:

• Full, midlife and partial component rebuilds to OEM standard
• Stripping, inspecting and assessing components
• Diagnosing faults and identifying repair requirements
• Reporting on findings and parts requirements

What You'll Need

• A relevant trade qualification or 3+ years of industry experience
• Underground machinery experience (CAT, Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, Volvo) is highly regarded
• Your own mining‑grade hand tools (up to ¾" drive)
• A High Risk Licence (desirable)
• A genuine commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
