Job summary

Specialized Cleaning Group is seeking a hands-on Heavy Diesel Mechanic for our Padstow fleet in Sydney. The role involves servicing, maintenance and repairs across road sweepers, trucks and related equipment.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults, attend breakdowns and help reduce downtime while keeping records up to date. Based in Padstow, you’ll collaborate with the operations team to ensure safe, ready-for-work vehicles.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified heavy diesel or heavy vehicle mechanic.
• Experience on road sweepers, tipper trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
• Strong fault-finding skills with a practical approach and attention to detail.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently with operations team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs across our fleet.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
• Attend to breakdowns and identify recurring issues to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure vehicles and equipment are safe and ready for work.
