Job summary

Lindsay Australia Limited in Coffs Harbour is offering a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice program. You will learn on the job, assisting with servicing and repairs of heavy vehicles, while gaining diagnostics skills and hands-on experience with modern equipment.

The apprenticeship starts January 2027, with on-site training at the Coffs Harbour Depot and ongoing mentoring. This role is ideal for someone practical, reliable and keen to progress in a trade.

Qualifications

• Interest in trucks, engines, mechanics or heavy vehicles.
• Willing to learn and complete apprenticeship.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles.
• Learn diagnostics and fault troubleshooting alongside experienced technicians.
• Support breakdown and accident repairs and document work performed.
• Use workshop tools and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Attend TAFE and workplace training as part of the apprenticeship.
