Job summary

Clough Ltd. is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join Project Ceres in Karratha on a 20:8 roster.

You will service, maintain and repair heavy mobile plant and equipment, diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs, and support on-site operations on a major Western Australian infrastructure project. The role requires over 2 years of relevant experience, Construction White Card, and a current Australian C-Class Driver’s Licence, with full working rights in Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs.
• Experience with scheduled and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Servicing heavy fixed and mobile plant on site.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out breakdown repairs.
• Carrying out scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Identifying defects or required repairs.
• Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and diesel systems.

Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.

About the role:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant and equipment
• Diagnosing faults and completing breakdown repairs
• Carrying out scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Conducting inspections and identifying defects or required repairs
• Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and diesel systems
• Maintaining plant and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Working across a busy construction site supporting project operations

What you will bring to the team:

• Over 2 years’ experience working with heavy fixed plant and mobile plant
• Construction White Card
• Current Australian “C” Class Driver’s Licence
• Full Working Rights in Australia
