Job summary

Regional Group Australia (RGA) is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic for our Cranbourne Workshop to support ongoing repairs and maintenance of the RGA fleet.

You will handle scheduled and priority repairs, preventative maintenance, and annual roadworthy inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and trucks.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs to a high standard.
• Capable of following directions and working autonomously.
• Physically fit for heavy and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair Regional Group Australia fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair faults and defects in vehicles.
• Field servicing and on-site breakdowns as required.
• Carry out tasks to the highest standard and complete documentation.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanics to join us in our Cranbourne Workshop who is keen to contribute to the continued growth of the business.

The Heavy Diesel Mechanic is responsible for ongoing repairs and maintenance of the RGA fleet. The role will consist of scheduled and priority repairs along with preventative maintenance schedules and annual roadworthy inspections.

Duties Will Include

• Maintain, service and repair company vehicles
• Diagnose and repair faults and defects in vehicles
• Field servicing/breakdowns as required
• Carry out tasks at the highest standard possible
• Inspections and assessments on vehicles as required (including the completion of the relevant documentation)
• Conduct all activities in a safe manner

Skills And Experience

• Full Diesel Mechanic qualifications minimum 3 years' experience
• Truck servicing ability
• Experience with Diagnosing and repairing faults and defects in vehicles
• The ability to follow direction & work autonomously
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit for heavy work
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Earthmoving Equipment Highly regarded
