ATB Mechanical Pty Ltd in Bundaberg East, QLD is expanding and seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our professional workshop. You will work across a diverse fleet, from prime movers to earthmoving machinery, applying high standards of workmanship, safety and efficiency in a well‑managed workshop.

Competenze

• Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with Certificate III or higher.
• Proven experience in heavy commercial vehicle repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Experience with Scania, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack or similar brands.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Mansioni

• Diagnose, repair and maintain heavy vehicles, prime movers, trailers and diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Carry out engine rebuilds, brake systems, suspension, steering and driveline repairs.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a highly skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in producing quality workmanship and wants to work in a professional, well-managed workshop?

We are looking for motivated, trade-qualified mechanics who understand the importance of quality, efficiency, safety and getting the job done right the first time.

You will work across a diverse range of heavy commercial vehicles, prime movers, trailers, fleet equipment and earthmoving machinery.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose, repair and maintain heavy vehicles, prime movers, trailers and diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Carry out engine rebuilds, brake systems, suspension, steering and driveline repairs.
• Complete advanced fault finding using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Work with leading heavy vehicle brands, including Scania, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack and other major manufacturers.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity and job efficiency.
• Complete accurate job cards, service reports and repair documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized and professional workshop environment.
• Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve operational and customer service targets.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Certificate III or higher).
• Proven experience in heavy commercial vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Scania, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack or similar brands.
• A strong commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
• Reliable, motivated and accountable with a positive attitude.
• HR or HC driver's license (advantageous but not essential).
