Job summary

Friendly Society Private Hospital Bundaberg is seeking a Manager - Information Services to lead the hospital's IT systems and infrastructure. You will ensure reliable operation, security, and compliance of clinical and non-clinical technology supporting patient care and admin processes.

The role requires 5+ years in IT management, enterprise infrastructure experience, and healthcare IT knowledge. You will lead IS staff, manage vendors, oversee cybersecurity, and drive digital transformation

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in IT management.
Experience managing enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and complex business applications.
Strong knowledge of network architecture, cloud services, and data security.
Demonstrated experience leading technology projects and teams.
Experience within healthcare, hospital, or aged care environments.
Relevant certifications such as: ITIL, PRINCE2 or PMP, Microsoft Certifications, CISSP/CISM or equivalent cybersecurity certification.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, manage and maintain the hospital's IT systems and infrastructure.
Lead IS staff and manage vendors.
Oversee cybersecurity initiatives and regulatory compliance.
Drive digital transformation projects to improve healthcare delivery.
Collaborate with the Managed Service Provider to deliver technology solutions aligned with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Provide strategic planning and leadership in IS operations, infrastructure and projects.
