Job summary

SA Health is seeking a flexible part-time Cook to join the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network in Orroroo. You will prepare, cook, plate and distribute meals, cater to dietary requirements and support stock control and kitchen safety.

Working with the Catering team, you’ll contribute to nutritious meals and a positive dining experience for clients, with casual loading included for shift work. This permanent casual contract offers hourly rates aligned with WHD4 scales.

Qualifications

• Bulk meal preparation and dietary catering experience required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, plate and distribute meals.
• Cater for dietary, nutritional and special meal requirements.
• Order supplies and manage stock and bulk food requirements.
• Operate kitchen equipment and maintain food safety standards.
• Support kitchen coordination and care teams.
