Job summary

Heidi Health Corp. in Australia is launching an engineering-focused internship designed for undergraduate students in their penultimate or final year.

You will join Heidi Launch Lab for a ten-week, in-person program across Melbourne or Sydney, owning a real project end-to-end. You’ll work with senior engineers, solve real user problems, and learn to ship production-grade features using AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Be in your penultimate or final year of a Computer Science degree (or equivalent), including Postgraduate studies.
• Evidence that you build: at least one tech internship, startup exposure, a side project, a hackathon placing or prior full time work.
• Impeccably sharp and omnitalented; you will context switch in a fast-paced environment.
• Uncapped growth is what you are after; you do not want to be limited and your growth defines the gradient of your progress.
• Work rights in Australia: Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.
• Available to commence the internship on November 30th and continue with part-time or full-time work if available.
• No domain experience required: you do not need to know healthcare or clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Ten weeks in person, five days a week with a minimum of three in the office across Melbourne or Sydney.
• You get one scoped project that a real team actually needs, and you own it end to end for the full ten weeks.
• Build alongside experienced engineers: participate in design discussions, code reviews and releases with direct feedback.
• Work from a real user problem: speak with the people closest to the problem and measure impact on clinicians or the team.
• Engineer for production: test your work, monitor after release, respond to feedback and keep it reliable.
• Show your work: demo what you shipped, explain decisions, and provide a clear handover.
• Own one thing properly: write the project brief in week two, defend scope, build, size impact, and document it.
• Use AI the way we actually use it: collaborate with Claude and coding agents, knowing what to delegate and what not to.
