Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Research Fellow for the Reproduction and Perinatal Centre (RPC) to advance maternity and early life health research. You will contribute to quantitative health service research, coordinate data analysis and reporting, and lead scholarly outputs across partner institutions.

This fixed-term, full-time role is linked to the PRSP grant round and aims to translate findings into policy and practice, with emphasis on collaboration, dissemination, and evidence-based

Qualifications

• PhD or Doctorate in a relevant field.
• Emerging health service researcher with demonstrated understanding of health service research methodologies.
• Experience and interest in maternal and child health research.
• Quantitative approaches to health service research, e.g., epidemiology and biostatistics.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on research direction, methodologies, study design and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate data management processes, including data analysis and reporting.
• Lead and oversee production of research reports, publications and scholarly outputs.
• Streamline administrative processes supporting research documentation and compliance.
• Facilitate timely report submissions and maintain data integrity in University systems.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops and community engagement for research translation.
• Support translation of findings into policy, practice and service improvements.
• Maintain research profile through scholarly outputs and networking.
• Mentor junior researchers and students where appropriate.
• Undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level.
