Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registered Nurse Div 1.
• Must hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) and have industry experience.
• Must meet RTO requirements (auditing/ moderation).
• Hold a Permission to Teach Registration with the Victoria Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Commitment to support the Catholic ethos of Nazareth College.
• Extensive teaching experience as a secondary Health Services teacher.
• Understanding of VCAA VCE Health Services requirements.
• Knowledge of ASQA compliance for RTOs.
• Vocational competencies and current industry experience relevant to the level being delivered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver vocational training for the Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (HLT33115) and related units to Years 11–12 students.
• Know Nazareth Learning Framework, VCE, Vocational Major, VET and VCAA Health Services requirements.
• Oversee the Health Services Assistance (VET) curriculum, refreshing materials as needed.
• Oversee use and maintenance of Health Services Assistance (VET) resources to prioritise curriculum needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position is part time, 0.16 working one day per week, 11.15am to 5pm.

The successful applicant will:

• Deliver vocational training for the Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (HLT33115) and related units to senior secondary students (Years 11 and 12)
• Know about the Nazareth Learning Framework, Victorian Certificate of Education, Vocational Major, VET and Victorian Curriculum within the auspices of Health Services Assistance (VET)
• Oversee the Health Services Assistance (VET) curriculum, ensuring that curriculum material is refreshed and updated as required.
• Oversee the use and maintenance of Health Services Assistance (VET) resources to ensure that curriculum requirements have priority

ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Current AHPRA Registered Nurse Div 1
• Vocational Education & Training (VET) teachers are required to hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) and relevant industry experience in the area of their expertise.
• Vocational Education & Training (VET) teachers are required to meet any requirements of the Registered Training Organisation for example: Auditing assessment/moderation meetings.
• Hold a Permission to Teach Registration with the Victoria Institute of Teaching (VIT). The College to assist with registration.
• A commitment to support the Catholic ethos of the College
• Extensive teaching experience as a secondary Health Services teacher with a demonstrable understanding of the AITSL Standards
• Understanding of Vocational Education and Training in schools and familiarity with VCAA VCE Health Services requirements
• Must know about the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) compliance for RTOs
• Must possess vocational competencies and current industry experience at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
• A Vision for Health Services in a Catholic coeducational secondary College.
