Job summary

NSW Health in Griffith seeks a Health and Security Assistant to help safeguard staff, patients and visitors while performing cleaning, patient support and administrative duties as required. This permanent part-time position is located in Griffith and involves ongoing security responsibilities.

The role requires NSW Security Licence (Class 1A), First Aid, a current driver’s licence and a Working with Children Check, with willingness to travel as needed.

The Health and Security Assistant will assist in ensuring the security and safety of all staff, patients and visitors and the protection of property as well as assisting with a range of other patient-focused duties such as cleaning, patient support and administrative tasks as required.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence using computers and security systems.
• NSW Security Licence (Class 1A) and First Aid Certificate.
• A current driver’s licence and is willing to travel as needed (including long distances).
• A current NSW Working with Children Check.
