Job summary

Thiess is seeking a Health, Safety & Training Administrator to join the Caval Ridge Project in Moranbah. This role supports the HSET Manager and Training Coordinator, with a 9-day fortnight roster, and offers opportunities to contribute to safety programs and data reporting.

You will manage department PO and invoice processing, ensure Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme compliance, and assist in monthly reports using strong Excel and MS Office skills. Collaboration and precision are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Health Safety and Training Administrator in a resources/construction setting is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills are essential.
  • Motivated and able to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to HSET Manager, Training Coordinator and Health & Safety Advisors.
  • Manage department purchase orders and process invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme.

About the role

Thiess is currently seeking a Health, Safety & Training Administrator to join our Caval Ridge Project in the Bowen Basin, Moranbah.

Working a 9-day fortnight, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing administrative support to the HSET Manager, Training Coordinator and Health & Safety Advisors
  • Managing and raising department specific purchase orders
  • Managing and processing department specific invoices
  • Ensuring compliance with the Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme.
  • Data management of the client and Thiess Incident Management Systems
  • Assisting the HS&T team in compiling and preparing monthly reports.
  • Performing other duties as defined by the HSET Manager.
About You
  • Previous experience as a Health Safety and Training Administrator within a resources, construction or similar industry would be considered advantageous
  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • Highly motivated and committed to meeting deadlines and delivering results
  • Ability to work well in a high-volume busy work environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (specifically strong excel skills)
  • Strong attention to detail
