Job summary

Cleanaway Waste Management is seeking a Health & Safety Business Partner to strengthen risk management and safety capability across NSW operations. You will collaborate with site leaders and frontline teams to improve safety performance, verify controls, and lead investigations where needed.

The role focuses on risk assessments, MoC processes, learning reviews, and delivering actionable insights to drive continuous safety improvement. NSW-based sites and a strong HSE mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a Health & Safety Business Partner, Advisor, Specialist or similar HSE role.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and safety systems.
• Experience in high-risk industries such as waste, manufacturing, chemicals, construction or infrastructure.
• Demonstrated capability in investigations and risk assessments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to improve safety performance and risk management.
• Coach leaders to implement and verify critical controls.
• Facilitate risk assessments and MoC processes.
• Conduct assurance activities to verify control effectiveness.
• Support complex incident investigations and organisational learning.
• Analyse safety trends and provide actionable insights.
• Drive continuous improvement for safer operations.
