BAI Communications is seeking a Health & Safety Business Partner to embed practical safety practices across a national, multi-site environment in Australia. You will support field operations, lead investigations, and strengthen our safety culture through coaching and audits.

You will partner with operational leaders to embed risk management, oversee risk assessments, safety documentation, and incident investigations while driving continuous improvement across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety within telecommunications, construction, infrastructure or similar multi-site operations.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and industry best practice.
• Demonstrated capability in incident investigation, including identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Experience supporting audits and working with integrated management systems such as ISO 45001.
• Confidence conducting field inspections, audits and safety interactions with frontline teams.
• Strong skills in risk assessment, hazard identification and control implementation.
• Ability to interpret and communicate safety data, trends and insights.
• Well-developed written communication skills for reports, investigations and safety documentation.
• Proficiency across Microsoft 365 tools and experience with safety or incident management systems.
• Qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety are essential, with further study or auditing qualifications highly regarded.
• Australian Citizenship status is essential to Baseline Vetting requirement

Responsabilités

• Partner with operational leaders to embed risk management into planning and delivery.
• Support project start-up activities, including review of risk assessments and safety documentation.
• Conduct site visits, inspections and field interactions to coach and influence safe behaviours.
• Lead and support incident investigations, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.
• Contribute to ISO audit preparation, internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and enhance HSE management system documentation, tools and processes.
• Analyse safety data and contribute to reporting, insights and performance improvement.
• Support contractor safety processes, onboarding and compliance activities
