Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Business Partner to support safer workplaces across NSW Oils and Technical Services. You will partner with operational leaders to strengthen risk management, coach leaders, and drive continuous improvement across sites.

You will lead investigations, risk assessments and assurance activities, analyse safety trends and provide actionable insights. The role requires strong WHS knowledge, stakeholder influence, and the ability to develop leadership

Qualifications

Solid experience in a Health & Safety role.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management.
Experience in high-risk industries (waste, manufacturing, chemicals, construction or infra).
Demonstrated investigations, risk assessments and assurance capabilities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

Partner with operational leaders to improve safety performance and critical risk management.
Coach and support leaders to implement and verify critical controls.
Facilitate risk assessments, Management of Change (MoC) processes and learning reviews.
Conduct assurance activities to verify control effectiveness and compliance.
Support complex incident investigations and embed organisational learning.
Analyse safety performance trends and provide actionable business insights.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational safety outcomes.
