Job summary

Veolia Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor based in Bendigo, Victoria. You will provide H&S assistance to the Water divisions, coordinate support activities, manage databases and training, and be part of the national H&S Team.

You will coach leaders, conduct audits, deliver safety training, report on safety performance, and contribute to a culture of safety with a discretionary bonus and car allowance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Experience in mining/heavy industry H&S advisory roles.
• Proven ICAM incident investigation facilitation.
• Auditing or business-improvement qualifications (Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Experience developing and delivering workshops and coaching leaders.

Responsibilities

• Engage and coach operational leaders to reduce physical and psychosocial risk.
• Provide thought leadership and evidence-based safety advice to operations.
• Champion safety at meetings and pre-start meetings.
• Facilitate and participate in internal audits and risk assessments.
• Provide data-driven safety performance reports and insights.
• Facilitate development and delivery of safety training and communication materials.
• Anticipate future scenarios and update related risks.
