Job summary

dormakaba Australia is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager. You will support WHS systems across Australia, partner with leaders, provide practical advice, training and risk management to create a safe, compliant workplace.

This role covers multiple sites, audits, investigations, inductions and safety programs. You will build strong stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement in safety culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role, with exposure to manufacturing/operational environments.
• Demonstrated experience conducting audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Strong understanding of Australian health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and coach leaders and employees on safety best practice.
• Strong organisational skills with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to support operational sites.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across operations, service, installation and support functions.

Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, the Health & Safety Advisor plays a key role in supporting the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of health, safety and wellbeing systems across dormakaba Australia. Working closely with operational leaders and frontline teams, you will provide practical advice, compliance support, risk management guidance and training to help create a safe, compliant and high-performing workplace.

• Qualification in Health & Safety, such as a Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV in WHS.
• Experience supporting field-based, operational, service or manufacturing environments.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and safety culture programs.
• Internal auditor training or similar safety-related certifications.
