Outback Stores Pty Ltd in Darwin invites a Health Promotion Coordinator to join our Health & Nutrition team at the Darwin Support Office. You will deliver culturally appropriate health promotion activities, focusing on tobacco reduction, healthy lifestyles and community wellbeing.

You will work closely with Indigenous communities and stakeholders to coordinate initiatives, build respectful relationships and support programs that improve health outcomes across remote communities.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in health promotion, community engagement or a related role.
• Strong communication, community engagement and relationship management skills.
• Proven experience building partnerships and working collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Experience working with diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
• High cultural intelligence and understanding of Indigenous cultures and social determinants of health.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent planning, organisation, time management and reporting skills.
• Strong ability to gather, interpret and report data.
• Ability to travel to remote communities.

Responsabilités

• Deliver health promotion and tobacco reduction initiatives in remote Indigenous communities.
• Conduct and use research and community insights to identify health priorities and support positive outcomes.
• Support development, implementation and evaluation of community health promotion plans.
• Build strong, respectful partnerships with communities and stakeholders.
• Coordinate health promotion projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.
• Review data to identify trends and support informed decisions.
• Prepare reports, resources and communications for diverse audiences.
• Support compliance with tobacco-related policies and contribute to policy improvement.
• Respect Indigenous knowledge and traditional health practices.
