Job summary

Department of Education Victoria in Mount Beauty is seeking a capable classroom teacher to deliver programs to students in Years 7–12 across English, Maths and PE, and to contribute to high quality teaching in a diverse rural community.

You will plan, teach and assess using high impact strategies, monitor student progress with data, and collaborate with families and staff to support wellbeing and achievement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum with literacy and numeracy integration.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Experience monitoring student learning and providing feedback to families.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other classroom teaching and organizational duties as directed.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Use student data to inform teaching approaches and target improvements.
