Job summary

Amplar Health is seeking an experienced Health Information Manager to establish and lead Health Information Services in a newly created role within the Medibank Group.

The role focuses on establishing information governance, improving clinical documentation and coding quality, ensuring privacy and compliance, and supporting revenue integrity across rapidly expanding services. Full-time role with optional part-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health Information Management within an Australian healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-AM, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards
• Experience in coding audits, revenue integrity and health information governance
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated experience in developing or improving operational processes, controls, reporting and service standards
• If successful, willing and able to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
• Holding a South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or are willing and eligible to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Establish and improve health information management processes and controls
• Oversee health records, privacy, medico-legal requests and information release activities
• Lead coding oversight, audit programs and documentation quality initiatives
• Drive data quality, compliance and accreditation readiness
• Partner with clinicians, operational leaders and coding providers to improve information quality and funding outcomes
• Provide expert input into digital health and health information system initiatives
