Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available within Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan hospital providing care for our patients under care of Sirhowy Ward for a Health Care Support Worker to join our caring and professional nursing team delivering excellent nursing care to our patients.

Main duties

Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office’s criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed.

The ward consists of 32 beds nursing patients with a variety of medical needs focusing on rehabilitation. The shifts are 12 or 6 hours days and nights including bank holidays. There are lots of opportunities to further develop and you will be supported with training and education. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will ideally possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal and good computer skills. They will be enthusiastic about change management and supportive towards their colleagues. An NVQ level 2 qualification is desirable but not essential for this post.
