About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager based in Sydney to work across our major infrastructure projects in NSW.

A major focus of this role will be to support the bringing to life of Laing O’Rourke’s industry leading Rethinking Safety Programmes. Day to Day:

  • You will take the lead responsibility for all Health & Safety aspects of the project and ensure all works are completed in accordance with required contract conditions, standards/regulations and company procedures.
  • Monitor and proactively engage the Project Leaders and direct HSE Reports to effectively manage the close out of Non-Conformance Reports arising from audits, and corrective action arising from incident investigations.
  • Positively influence the health and safety culture and performance of the project.
  • Lead and conduct project audits in accordance with Project Audit Schedule, and undertake periodic reviews
About You
  • You will have a relevant Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety combined with at least 10 years' extensive experience on large scale construction projects, ideally in Australia.

  • Leadership experience
