Job summary

Evans Intensive English Centre (IEC), based in Blacktown, delivers an intensive English program for newly arrived students learning English as an additional language. As NSW's largest IEC, it supports students to adapt to the Australian school system through an integrated social model with Evans High School.

The Head Teacher will lead inclusive teaching practices, curriculum design, and educational leadership to support wellbeing, engagement and successful transitions into mainstream schooling.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead inclusive practices for newly arrived students.
• Ability to partner with families, staff and external agencies.
• Lead whole-centre initiatives to strengthen EAL/D teaching.
