Job summary

Commonwealth Bank is seeking an Executive Manager Workplace Relations to provide expert guidance across complex employee and workplace relations matters within the Group. You’ll work with leaders, HRBP, Legal and investigations to manage high-risk, sensitive issues with confidence and consistency.

Lead a small team, coach staff, and Partner on organisational change, governance and risk. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, wellbeing and delivering commercially focused advice.

Qualifications

• Experience leading specialist workplace relations teams in corporate, consulting or legal settings.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and workplace legislation.
• Ability to balance legal, compliance, reputational and employee considerations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influence with leaders.
• Tertiary qualifications in HR, Employment Relations or Law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team of Workplace Relations specialists.
• Provide expert advice to leaders, HR and employees on complex employee and workplace relations matters.
• Oversee team workflow, capacity and performance, ensuring timely delivery of matters.
• Partner with senior leaders and HR teams on organisational change and strategic initiatives.
• Support senior stakeholder governance through reporting, insights and participation in risk forums.
• Identify emerging trends and drive initiatives to improve workplace outcomes and reduce risk.
• Champion continuous improvement through technology, automation and AI-enabled transformation.
• Maintain a focus on team wellbeing, development and sustainable performance.
