Toowoomba State High School in Queensland seeks an inspirational Head of Department - Student Support to lead wellbeing, engagement and targeted interventions for students. You will design systems, supervise case management, and work with staff to promote belonging and high expectations for learning.

This temporary full-time role starts January 21, 2027 and runs to December 10, 2027, with a focus on improving attendance, behaviour and academic achievement while ensuring inclusive support for all

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and guidance for implementing wellbeing and engagement measures to support students from diverse backgrounds.
• Oversee student case management processes for attendance, behaviour and academic achievement.
• Coordinate induction and support for new arrivals and advise on academic, social and emotional needs.
• Monitor student performance and implement targeted intervention strategies as needed.
• Support whole-school improvement under the Brighter Futures Strategy with a focus on Belonging and Engagement.
