Job summary

Freighter Group in Ballarat is seeking an experienced engineering leader to become Head of Standard Development, reporting to the General Manager Engineering. You will guide the strategy, governance and continuous improvement of our standard product portfolio while steering a team of engineers and technical specialists.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, operations and product management, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and drive testing, validation, warranty and repair

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in engineering leadership and product development.
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in trailer chassis design, development and manufacturing.
• Understanding of trailer chassis engineering, product standards and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in manufacturing, transport equipment or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead standard product development and engineering activities.
