Job summary

ProFound People is seeking a Head of Software Engineering for a fully remote role in Australia to shape the next growth phase. You will lead people, delivery, and operational rigor, partnering with the existing leadership on architecture while scaling a high-performing team.

You will own QA, DevOps, and engineering process, mentor engineers, collaborate with product, and foster discipline and predictable delivery as headcount grows.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leadership background with hands-on credibility.
• Proven track record managing senior engineers and delivering with quality.
• Experience owning QA and DevOps as functional areas.
• Comfort working with a strong technical counterpart on architecture.
• Excellent communication across executive, product, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own people management, internal processes, and delivery discipline across engineering, QA, and DevOps.
• Partner with the technical leader on architecture and direction, contributing technically when needed.
• Build and run internal processes to keep a high-performing team scalable.
• Own QA and DevOps as functions, not just headcount.
• Mentor and manage engineers directly while remaining hands-on when necessary.
• Collaborate with product to ensure engineering delivers against commitments.
• Foster a culture combining technical excellence with disciplined delivery.
