This permanent full-time role (0.6FTE teaching load across years 7–12) requires a relevant science degree, TRBWA eligibility, and a proven track record in leadership and teaching. Qualifikationen

• A relevant science degree or related field.
• Eligibility for TRBWA registration and right to work in Australia
• Substantial teaching experience in Science education.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to drive academic excellence.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels.

Aufgaben

• Lead and inspire Science teaching staff to achieve teaching and learning excellence across all Science subjects.
• Provide departmental direction and mentorship and coach staff through professional development.
• Lead implementation of the College Teaching and Learning Strategy within the Science Department.
• Oversee curriculum design, delivery and assessment to meet national standards.
• Monitor student performance and identify strategies to enhance outcomes in collaboration with teachers.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Science across curriculum areas.
• Manage departmental budgets, facilities, equipment and resources with focus on safety and risk management.
• Engage with parents, the community and external organisations to promote the PLC Science department.
• Manage a 0.6FTE teaching load across years 7-12.
