Metro North Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist - Director to lead the Radiation Therapy Service within Cancer Care Services at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. The role provides professional and operational leadership to deliver high-quality radiation therapy, aligning with Queensland Health priorities and Metro North Health’s strategic direction.

You will drive service planning, workforce management, quality improvement and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Provide strategic leadership and management of the Radiation Therapy Service, contributing to service planning and professional standards.
• Lead a large multidisciplinary workforce, overseeing recruitment, performance management and change initiatives.
• Monitor service activity, utilisation and future demand trends to support evidence-based planning and optimisation.
• Drive quality improvement, risk management and clinical governance ensuring compliance with best practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee major equipment and infrastructure planning for radiation therapy technology.
• Manage financial, asset and equipment resources, including budget development and procurement.
• Ensure the service supports a high-quality, contemporary radiation therapy service aligned with community needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Metro North Health to deliver integrated cancer care services.
