i-Pharm Consulting in Melbourne seeks a Head of Project Management to lead its Clinical Trials function. You will head a team of Project Managers, drive delivery of trials on time and budget, and serve as a trusted partner to sponsors and internal stakeholders.

The role requires presence, credibility and the ability to influence across tough conversations, balancing client satisfaction with operational realities. This is a pivotal leadership position within a growth-focused clinical trial site.

• Proven leadership experience in clinical trial PM, preferably in CRO or site.
• Experience coaching and developing Project Managers.
• Strong understanding of trial delivery, budgets and stakeholder expectations.

We are partnering with an established and growing clinical trial site organisation seeking an experienced Head of Project Management to lead its Project Management function.

This is a pivotal leadership appointment, requiring someone who can balance operational excellence with exceptional client engagement. You'll be leading a team of Project Managers, overseeing the successful delivery of clinical trials and acting as a trusted partner to clients and internal stakeholders.

We're looking for someone with presence, personality and credibility. Someone who can confidently navigate challenging conversations, influence decisions and bring people along for the journey.

The Opportunity

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers, driving accountability, collaboration and high performance.
• Provide strategic oversight of clinical trial projects, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, quality standards and client expectations.
• Build and maintain exceptional relationships with sponsors, CROs and key stakeholders.
• Take ownership of complex client relationships, navigating difficult conversations with confidence, diplomacy and commercial awareness.
• Influence stakeholders, gain buy-in and turn competing priorities into collaborative solutions.
• Identify operational improvements, strengthen project delivery processes and support continued business growth.
• Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the Project Management function delivers an outstanding client experience.

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership experience within clinical trial Project Management, ideally gained in a CRO or clinical trial site environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing, coaching and developing Project Managers.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial delivery, operational challenges, budgets and stakeholder expectations.
• Exceptional client engagement skills. You know how to read the room, build trust, challenge constructively and influence outcomes.
• The confidence and charisma to engage with demanding clients, manage expectations and maintain relationships when conversations get tough.
• A commercially minded approach, with the ability to balance client satisfaction with operational realities.
• A natural ability to inspire confidence, earn respect and bring teams and stakeholders together.
