We are a fast-growing global women’s fashion company with design and sales teams based in Australia and the US, and production in China. We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Production to oversee and manage our end-to-end production process, ensuring our collections are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Work Location: Sydney

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the production function across multiple regions (Australia, US, and China).
• Oversee all stages of product development from design handover to bulk production.
• Liaise closely with design, merchandising, and sales teams to align production with market timelines.
• Manage and strengthen vendor relationships, negotiating costs, lead times, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with company quality control standards and ethical sourcing requirements.
• Solve production issues proactively and ensure smooth cross-border communication.
• Provide leadership to the production team and drive continuous improvement in processes.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience (8+ years) in production management within the women’s fashion industry.
• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing, fabrics, trims, and quality control.
• Excellent bilingual communication skills – fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Experience working with offshore factories (China experience highly desirable).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Leadership skills with the ability to build and mentor a high-performing team.
