Job summary

BDO Administration Pty Ltd in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a Privacy Officer to lead the firm's privacy function, guiding risk, legal, data, IT and business teams. You will steer privacy initiatives, advise on risk and compliance, and promote a practical, business-minded approach to privacy decisions.

You will also lead and develop the privacy team, embedding privacy controls and maintaining a strong privacy culture across the organisation. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Professional certification in privacy or risk management is desirable (e.g., CIPP/A, CIPM).
• Experience embedding privacy-by-design into business processes and tech delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead privacy roadmap and strategic privacy initiatives across risk, legal, data, IT and business.
• Develop and lead the privacy team, set priorities, allocate work and build capability.
• Advise on privacy risk and compliance across Australian and international frameworks.
