About Us

St John's Grammar School is a dynamic E-12 co-educational, independent Anglican school nestled in the beautiful hills of Belair, South Australia. Our school is structured into four sub-schools: Early Learning Centre (3 and 4 Year Old Programs), Junior School (R-6), Middle School (Years 7-9), and Senior School (Years 10-12). The Opportunity

The Head of Music is responsible for leading and developing Music education across our Secondary School, fostering excellence in teaching, learning, performance, and student engagement. Working closely with the Performing Arts team, this role provides strategic leadership of curriculum, co-curricular music activities, staff, tutors, and ensemble programs, while inspiring students to achieve their personal best.


This role combines leadership responsibilities with a teaching load and offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the culture and life of the School.

You are a passionate and accomplished educator who combines strong musical expertise with outstanding leadership and relationship-building skills. You bring excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to work with students, staff and our wider school community.
