Job summary

Tungsten Mining NL is seeking a Manager Metallurgical Projects to lead the process engineering function and own the development of process plant designs across the project lifecycle. You'll work with metallurgy, projects and executive teams to drive design decisions from test work through to commissioning.

The role requires a degree in metallurgy or chemical engineering, 12+ years in mineral processing, and a track record of delivering detailed designs and commissioning.

Qualifications

• 12+ years' experience in mineral processing process engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading process design through detailed engineering and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of crushing, grinding, gravity, magnetic separation and flotation circuits.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across technical and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities from concept studies through to commissioning.
• Own process design criteria, flowsheets, mass and energy balances, and process simulations.
• Drive major equipment selection, sizing and specification.
• Provide technical leadership during EPC phases.
• Review and challenge contractor and vendor designs.
• Lead process optimisation and trade-off studies.
• Contribute to capital and operating cost estimates.
• Build and develop process engineering capability within the business.
• Champion safe design principles and participate in HAZOP and risk reviews.
