Job summary

Carlingford High School, a comprehensive co-educational school in NSW, invites applications for a Head Teacher to lead Mathematics 7-12 including Extension 1 and 2. The role requires full approval to teach, capacity to co-lead a high performing Mathematics faculty, and a commitment to diverse student needs including EAL/D and HPGE.

Qualifications

• Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
• Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and co-lead a collaborative, high performing Mathematics faculty as a second Head Teacher in the development and delivery of high-quality teaching and learning programs and assessment.
• Utilise evidence-based approaches to maximise student outcomes and maintain high expectations across school life.
• Contribute to the school's strategic vision and whole-school priorities as a member of the executive team.
