Job summary

Funding is seeking a Head of Lending in Sydney to lead the lending and operations team, delivering growth with regulatory compliance and strong credit governance.

You will oversee a team of Credit Officers and Analysts, drive process improvements, and ensure underwriting excellence across mortgage lending channels. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leadership experience in mortgages and lending operations.

• Knowledge of current lending practices and regulatory requirements (NCCP, AML/CTF).
• Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) experience.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Head of Lending to join our fast paced and growing team.

About the Role

We are lookingfora Head of Lending who is experienced in leading and driving growth for a credit and lending function with operational excellence across the lending lifecycle including team management, compliance, credit assessment/underwriting, continuous improvement and transformation.

As Head of Lending, you will ultimately be responsible for delivering upon key performance metrics and reporting to key stakeholders / shareholders. You will have a proven track record in credit assessment in mortgage lending (previous Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) required) and experience.

Loan originationcomes from threemajor streams including mortgage brokers/aggregators, refers and direct consumer enquiries.

You would also be responsible for managing and building the Lending Team, including a team of Loan Processors and Credit Officers / Credit Analysts and improving the workflow and time to approval.

This role will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Lead the entire Lending / operational function.

What Are We Looking For?

Someone who possesses:

• 10+ years leadership experience in a credit and operations specifically for mortgages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Extensive and recentknowledge of current lending practices including credit policy,valuations, mortgage insurance, procedures and banking & regulatory requirements (including NCCP).
• Strong customer service ethics and delivery focus.
• Delegated Lending Authority (DLA).
