Job summary

Job description

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027

The Role

Ridge View SC is seeking a dynamic, collaborative and solutions-focused Head of Learning Area – Technologies to lead and continue to grow the Technologies Learning Area. The successful applicant will ideally be an experienced and passionate educator with a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and relevant senior secondary courses and pathways. You will lead the development and delivery of engaging, contemporary and high-quality Technologies programs across Years 7 to 12 that respond to the needs, interests and aspirations of our students.

As a curriculum and instructional leader, you provide professional guidance and support to your team, building staff capability through collaboration, feedback, professional learning and reflective practice. You will use evidence and student achievement data to evaluate programs, identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen Technologies pathways across the College, while ensuring learning remains relevant to contemporary technologies, industry developments and future education, training and employment opportunities.

You should be a leader who builds positive relationships, brings people with you and fosters a supportive team culture where staff feel valued and empowered to grow. As a member of the College leadership team, you will contribute to whole-school priorities and strategic directions, model our College values and maintain high expectations for teaching, learning, student engagement and success.
