As a proud member of AngliSchools, we are known for our strong sense of community, exceptional pastoral care and commitment to providing an engaging and inclusive education for students across Years 7 to 12.
With approximately 660 students, St George’s is large enough to offer a rich and diverse educational experience, yet small enough for genuine relationships to develop between students, families and staff. Our size ensures that students are known as individuals and that staff can very quickly see the positive effect of their work each day.

We welcome students from across metropolitan Perth and internationally and celebrate the diversity of a School community in which Everyone Matters.
We are seeking an accomplished educator and collaborative leader to head our Inclusive Education Centre from January 2027. This is a significant middle leadership opportunity to influence whole-school practice, develop the capacity of others and make a lasting difference to the learning and lives of young people.
As Head of Inclusive Education Centre, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for inclusive education across Years 7 to 12. You will combine clear direction with practical support, ensuring that inclusive practices are embedded throughout the School.
You will champion quality-first teaching for every student. You will coordinate targeted and intensive interventions for students with additional learning needs, whilst also ensuring that capable students receive appropriate challenge, extension and enrichment.
You will lead a committed team of inclusive education professionals and outstanding Education Assistants, building collective expertise and a shared commitment to inclusive excellence. Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the Senior Executive Team, you will strengthen classroom practice, lead relevant professional learning for staff and use evidence to improve student participation, progress and wellbeing.
In this role, you will:
Provide strategic leadership for inclusive education across Years 7 to 12.
Lead, support and develop the Inclusive Education Team, including the School’s Education Assistants.
Strengthen universal, evidence-informed and inclusive classroom practices.
Build teachers’ confidence and capability in differentiation, reasonable adjustments and modified curriculum tasks.
Oversee the identification and assessment of students’ learning needs.
Coordinate the planning, delivery, monitoring and review of targeted and intensive intervention programs as required.
Lead the development, implementation and review of Individual Education Plans in partnership with students, families and teachers.
Develop meaningful curriculum-based and co-curricular opportunities for highly able, gifted and talented students.
Coordinate documentation, funding applications, examination provisions and reporting requirements relating to SCSA, NCCD and AISWA Inclusive Education funding.
Support the development of MacqLit and MultiLit programs currently on offer across Years 7 – 9 within the School.
Ensure the School meets its responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005.
Build productive and professional relationships with students, families, teachers, members of the Senior Executive Team, allied health professionals and relevant external agencies.
Contribute actively to the academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the School.
The position includes a 0.4 FTE teaching commitment aligned with the successful applicant’s teaching specialisation. This teaching component provides an important opportunity for the Head of Inclusive Education Centre to remain closely connected to students, colleagues and contemporary classroom practice.
You will be an accomplished educator and collaborative leader who recognises the potential within every learner.
You will bring expertise in inclusive education, sound professional judgement and the ability to translate a clear vision into effective and sustainable practice. You will understand that successful inclusion is built through excellent classroom teaching, carefully designed intervention, informed decision-making and strong partnerships with families.
Visible, approachable and highly organised, you will combine empathy with accountability. You will communicate clearly, manage competing priorities and develop trusting relationships across the School community.
You will also enjoy developing others. Whether guiding an individual teacher, leading professional learning or supporting the work of an Education Assistant, you will help colleagues respond confidently and effectively to the diverse learning needs of the students in their care.
Above all, you will be motivated by the opportunity to make a positive and lasting difference.
At St George’s, you will have the scope to know the students and families you support, see the impact of your leadership and shape an inclusive culture in which every student can experience challenge, progress, belonging and success.
